In our society, there is often a strong emphasis on pursuing fields like engineering, science, or commerce, and selecting a humanities-based degree like Bachelor of Arts can be met with skepticism or disapproval from family and peers. This societal pressure can create doubts about the value and viability of my chosen path, affecting my confidence and motivation.

Moreover, cultural norms and traditional beliefs sometimes limit opportunities for personal expression. As an Indian male, certain expectations regarding behavior, dress, and interactions exist within the society. These societal norms can limit self-expression and individuality, making it challenging to explore different aspects of my personality freely.

Another significant restriction arises from gender roles and expectations. There are often predetermined roles for males in our society, encompassing specific responsibilities and behaviors. These expectations can limit my freedom to pursue unconventional interests or express emotions openly, as these might not align with the societal norms of masculinity.

Furthermore, financial constraints can act as barriers to access certain opportunities or resources. Pursuing higher education involves expenses, and not having sufficient financial support can limit access to quality education or extracurricular activities that could enhance my learning experience.

In addition, the caste system, although officially abolished, still exerts an influence in certain areas of social interaction. Discrimination based on caste can create barriers in social integration, and access to certain privileges, impacting the overall social experience.
